2016 Badia di Morrona Chianti "I Sodi del Paretaio"
Regular price $24.98
The Badia di Morrona is located in the Pisan hills (Colline Pisane) between Pisa and Florence and is one of the four badie or monasteries founded by the count of Fucecchio. This wine comes from various estate vineyards all enjoying south or south-eastern exposures. It's a blend of 90% Sangiovese blended with 5% Cabernet and 5% Merlot. What a pretty little wine! This value Chianti has everything you'd want from a "bargain Tuscan red" - it has a pretty nose of ripe red fruits, leather and herbs. In the mouth, it is soft, pure, and so elegant and smooth. It goes down VERY easy and is a perfect wine for everyday consumption with pasta, pizza or burgers.
