Angel’s Envy spends up to 18 months finishing in Caribbean rum casks, resulting in an immensely complex whiskey. The mingling of raw, spicy and earthy rye with the mellow sweetness of rum finishing creates an incomparably smooth and drinkable whiskey, even at 100 proof. Crystal clear quality with a rich, reddish amber color. It bursts with aromas of citrus, caramel candy, maple sugar, vanilla, oak, hazelnut, spice and sherry wood and flavors of sweet rum, sherry wood and soft oak messmerize the taste buds and finishes with a triumphantly decadent dryness.

Angel’s Envy is a hand crafted, small batch whiskey produced by Louisville Distilling Company, a subsidiary of Bacardi Limited.
It started with Lincoln Kennedy coming out of retirement to create Angel’s Envy. A project to collaborate with his son, Wes, on a bourbon finished in Port barrels. He’d had the idea for years, but had never had the chance to explore it previously. It was just as important to Lincoln to be creating a new type of whiskey as it was to be building something with his family. Wes’s son Kyle eventually joined his family to help with the fledgling brand, and to learn side by side with his grandfather.
The whiskey is rooted in 200 years of bourbon heritage. Inspired by legendary Master Distiller Lincoln Henderson’s lifetime spent crafting fine spirits, Angel’s Envy is his masterpiece. The 5% of spirit lost each year during barrel aging is often referred to as the “Angel’s Share.” After tasting the finished whiskey, Lincoln joked that they finally gotten a better deal than the angels. And so Angel’s Envy was born.
